The world-building in this prologue is honestly incredible. The Aurazhan Empire already feels ancient, powerful, and dangerous — and Daerian’s journey looks like it’s heading somewhere epic. “Brilliance is not license” is such a strong opening line.

The atmosphere is amazing. You can already feel the tension behind the empire’s “greatest undertaking” and whatever catastrophe is coming. “And she is coming” gave me chills.
