This defeats the entire purpose of a documentary;
It took a few hours of prompting to make ts, meanwhile she had the AUDACITY to talk about the amazing work of David Attenborough and his team taking years just to film footage of REAL animals on that guardian article. There's a miles difference between using stolen art and a few prompts to the dedication and passion of filming which can never EVER be replaced. The responses towards this give me hope that we continue to push back on this because it takes away the soul of everything; artistic innovation and true human art will never be replaced…

I think this is extremely well made, but I find myself fundamentally disagreeing with the concept behind it, especially when you frame the project around “looking for the truth behind the story.”
The biological information here can absolutely be true. The species are real, their relationship is real, and so I appreciate the amount of research and effort that clearly went into trying to represent both as accurately as possible. But, I think wildlife documentaries contain another kind of truth that gets lost when the imagery itself is entirely generated.
Part of what makes nature documentaries…

AI slop cannot be a documentary, as it doesn't doccument anything. This video should be buried in a landfill.

Not realistic and AI uses stolen assets to train itself. 👎

Having read the guardian article featuring this documentary - "She says even the likes of David Attenborough couldn’t have accurately conveyed how the fierce spider and tiny frog help and protect each other, because all the action takes place inside the spider’s lair. Lights and microscopic cameras would interfere with the natural behaviour." This is complete horseshit, if you can't accurately convey the relationship between the spider & the frog without film them, then YOU ALSO cannot accurately convey it with this AI slop. What is the difference between this & a CG rendering? Other than the…

This is lovely. I don’t care that it’s AI. This is how AI should be used.
