The main problem is that the dialogue simply doesn’t work. The reason is that it wasn’t actually written by a screenwriter. Instead, someone only outlined what happens in each scene. As a result, the dialogue has no timing, no rhythm, and no comedic structure.
It’s great that the characters remain consistent, but that’s not what makes a sitcom. A sitcom doesn’t live or die by having recurring characters alone. It lives through precisely written dialogue, comic timing, rhythm, and carefully constructed exchanges.
