   That’s how love is—staying together until the very end, even in death. That nonsense about leaving someone to protect them is ridiculous; it is better to die knowing you are loved than to be abandoned in the name of being saved. The wound to the heart cuts deeper that way. So, the best approach is to be upfront and clear about things so a decision can be made: whether to move forward and take the risk, or to walk away and forget the person you love. Life is so simple, yet we humans love to complicate it.
